Just When I Declared Booth Babes Over, I Discover This!

On Chrystie Street last week, I noticed two young women chatting up a foreman at a construction site.

  • Everything about them from their fancy high heels to their branded gift bags caught my attention. Mostly, I was nonplussed that they were there at all!
  • Clearly this was an unusual sighting in my neck of the woods. I walked on and just as I was turning onto my street, I noticed a cute little VW parked on the corner and it too was branded (same as the gift bags).
  • I finally got it! This was a sales call to a new construction site from CALLAHEAD! I only regret I didn’t get pics of the women with the gift bags – and now, I am also curious as to what kind of swag Callahead offers the construction foremen.

More research was needed.

Soon enough I found the CALLAHEAD website and Video Reel Page. Proudly created by Kimberly Howard (pic above right). She is the VP Marketing and wife of Charles Howard, president and CEO of the company. Now it all made sense. The sales reps were hired to reflect the wife’s vision of the company.

The more I read about the business and Kimberly Howard in particular, the more impressed I became. When you consider all the construction going on around the city as well as all the events (music festivals, pop ups, street fairs, weddings) you realize there is a big need for portable sanitation units. And Callahead is clearly taking it to another level.

Read on below for more on the company’s branding and vision for the portable restroom business. Callahead, by the way, owns 70% of NYC’s portables business.

Get ready!

From Kimberly Howard:

These videos have been produced to assist you in selecting the perfect portable sanitation product for your job site or event.

I have been trusted with many job responsibilities for CALLAHEAD, in addition to being the spokesperson and script writer for these product videos. I also write for the website and company brochures, assist with sales and marketing procedures, decorate portable restrooms with accessories and custom artwork, recruiting, purchasing, research and development and any job duty necessary to help the company.

My husband, Charles W. Howard, President and CEO of CALLAHEAD, has been creating innovative systems for New York’s portable sanitation industry for nearly four decades. These videos, which I have been fortunate to be a part of, emulate his genius, which has made CALLAHEAD the #1 portable toilet company in New York.

Bottom Line: I’ve long been in awe of the branding and wordsmithing of the porta-potty industry e.g. Callahead, Johnny On The Spot, Got To Go, Mr. John, Rent A Throne.

Now, after seeing how passionately these business owners throw themselves into their work, I’m even more impressed.

Both Kimberly and Charles Howard live up to their Mission Statement: “To Develop and Evolve a Human Necessity.”
