I’m obsessed with tennis and have now seen/heard this commercial, specifically created for the US Open, at least 50 times (on ESPN).

Even crazier, I am still thrilled every time the first few notes come on. I can’t remember the last time I was this gaga about a commercial. But I was hooked from Day 1.

Of course, I had to do some research on who created the commercial and most especially, who wrote that dreamy piece of music. What I discovered is that mcgarrybowen is the agency for American Express and the music is by Brandi Carlile (who I was not familiar with until this Amex commercial came along).

Also, must admit that it took hearing the song about 50 times (no kidding) until I got into other aspects of the commercial, e.g. the theme of Amex having your back. But now that I’ve got it, I’m an even bigger fan.

And in the interest of full disclosure, I am a huge Amex loyalist. I’ve always found Amex to be more supportive and helpful versus Visa or Mastercard. I really do feel like American Express has my back.
