Nashville – Bowling, honky tonk, incredible style and design!!!
My first trip to Nashville – and i’m ready to move here!! (Well probably not, but I am just blown away by the design, the vibe, the people, the food – and the creative spirit!!). If you haven’t been, you must come and check it out ASAP! My top 5 include Pinewood Social, Barista Parlor Golden Sound, Acme Feed and Seed, White’s Mercantile and Imogene and Willie.
1. PINEWOOD SOCIAL
You could spend all day here – it opens at 7am for breakfast with coffee from Crema, you can bowl a few rounds until lunch and enjoy the art on one wall of the alley, and then you should have a drink to cap it all off. When the weather is warm, lounge poolside by the airstream and enjoy the fantastic river views.
This is their newest outpost and just perfectly designed – so much attention to design detail. Great coffee (loved the vanilla bourbon latte) and all the food looked amazing and is served on wooden cutting boards. Also paying homage to the sound studio past of the space, there is a great record collection that is actually played on their turntables.
Newly opened on Broadway. Great spot for casual dining with live Country music. Two cool small shops on the ground floor featuring local designer goods (great t-shirts also). The action is all on the ground and second floors (although there is a cool rooftop bar with river views which would be fantastic in the summer).
Amazing store with a beautiful and eclectic selection of items for the tastemaker’s home. Also, on Sunday’s the Biscuit Love Truck camps out in the parking lot serving “scratch-made” biscuit sandwiches that were being enjoyed by shoppers at the picnic tables nearby. Love this store!!!
White’s Mercantile – beautiful merchandising and display
Another fantastic store in a former service station – considered a Nashville-based denim brand. Glorious decor, great selection of brands including Warby Parker, Aesop toiletries, custom denim and custom boots. Very friendly service. Unbelievable aesthetic.
Imogene and Willie in a former gas station – fantastic store.
